If you’re planning on hosting a Democracy Sausage Sizzle this Saturday, you may need to obtain a free permit due to the severe fire danger warnings issued across certain part of the city’s surrounds.
At this time, the CFS has issued a Total Fire Ban and rated the fire danger level as ‘Severe’ for various areas across the state, including Mount Lofty Ranges.
This means, organisers will have to obtain a free permit in order to light a BBQ located further than 15m from their house. Hungry voters located in the following locations are currently impacted:
- Adelaide Hills,
- Mount Barker
- Tea Tree Gully
- Victor Harbor
You can contact your local council now to grab a permit.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts temperatures will reach 35*C with a winds increasing to 40 km/h.
