The 165 room Atura Hotel at Adelaide Airport has opened its doors and we've taken a look inside!
The highly anticipated seven-storey building features urban, industrial and stylish design at its core with free-flowing communal spaces, offering business and leisure travellers the ultimate comfort and convenience.
Renowned architect and interior designer Nic Graham designed the lobby, restaurant Hangar Bar & Grill, the Meeting Point Cafe and all 165 guest rooms.
The large scale lobby features tall ceilings and large windows bringing the natural light in, communal tables, quiet zones and a pool table.
Guest rooms offer two views - City or Runway. EVENT dream beds are in all 165 rooms as well as a multipurpose work zone with lounge, desk, 49" LCD TV, full mini-bar, room service, complimentary Wi-Fi and gym access.
Hangar Bar & Grill serves up authentic pizzas, tender rib-eye steaks and fresh salads for breakfast, lunch and dinner, led by Adelaide-born Executive Chef Thomas Bator.
For those with work in mind, Atura offers eight flexible event spaces and a capacity to cater for up to 320 people.
Head congestion-free from the public areas at the hotel to the airport plaza via a direct walkway.
The project created an approx 350 construction jobs and 65 roles within the hotel.
EVENT Hospitality and Entertainment's Director of Hotels Norman Arundel says "Atura Adelaide Airport will provide travellers the opportunity to experience the Atura philosophy of value-driven urban design and great local hospitality".
Atura's the first in Australia to directly link with the main domestic and international terminal of a capital city airport.
