A website showing how accessible Central Coast locations are for people with lower mobility has been launched in Ettalong.
WheelEasy invites users to rate spots with either a green, yellow or red light based on the ease of getting around.
Gosford MP Liesl Tesch has welcomed the online resource, set up by Pearl Beach couple Max and Justine Burt.
Ms Tesch says it's not just for those with a disability, as everyone from new mums and dads to the elderly are able to access the information.
“Women with prams come up to me and say, ‘I sort of know how you feel now, Liesl’,” she said.
“It’s also about our oldies: the growing aged population using walkers... people who have had knee reconstructions who have different mobility.”
Ms Tesch hopes the rating system will add pressure to local businesses to think about how they can cater to the group.
“It also gives people with mobility challenges an easy way to plan a day out and about.”
It is not yet known when the site will be fully active for the Coast, but has an established offering for Sydney.
