If you've ever wanted to be part of naming a piece of history here’s your chance.
Toowoomba's Second Range Crossing needs an official name with the Queensland Government and Department of Transport and Main Roads handing that honour over to the public.
Official submissions from the public for the road's name opened today, names can be submitted for:
- Toowoomba Second Range Crossing road
- the 800m long viaduct along the Toowoomba escarpment
- the 70m long twin arch bridges on the New England Highway, over the new road
The Government is searching for names that have a unique tie to the local area and significant meaning to the local community. The official name(s) will be unveiled at the TSRC official opening next year.
