It will soon be a smoother ride for motorists along the Newell Highway undergoes a $1.7 million repair at West Wyalong.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said work involves removing and replacing areas of the road surface with asphalt.
But, the most important question: Will it affect your run to and from work?
To reduce the impact on commuters, the works are being carried out at night everyday between 6pm and 6am.
“Work will be carried out in sections, with traffic detoured around the work zones for the safety of workers and motorists. All heavy vehicles will be detoured onto the Heavy Vehicle Alternative Route, from the Newell Highway onto Showground and Compton roads and then back in to Newell Highway.
“Roads and Maritime will make every effort to reduce the impact on road users and thanks the community for their patience while this important road improvement work is carried out.
“Motorists should plan ahead, allow extra time for their journeys and follow the direction of traffic control and all signs.”
Work is expected to be completed by 20 April.
