When you think of the top ten healthiest cities in the world, do you think YOUR city would make the cut?
Well, two Aussie cities have made the cut and they may, or may not, surprise you!
The world’s most healthy cities were announced recently by online site Spotahome.
While eight of the top ten were based in Europe, two were right here in Australia.
Factors that helped determine which cities were the healthiest included:
- Green space
- Hours of sunshine a year
- Air and water quality
- How regularly locals used the gym
- Work-life balance
- Average annual leave days
- Life expectancy
- Rates of obesity

Brisbane came in at no.11 and Canberra at no.14.
Whereas Sydney and Melbourne came in low on the list, at no.48 and no.29.
