You may remember that at the start of this year, a TV series based on the classic film, The First Wives Club, was in the works.
Now, it looks like Paramount Pictures has found two of the new First Wives for the series!
PEOPLE magazine has reported that Grammy-award winner Jill Scott and actress Michelle Buteau have both signed on for the project that is set to be written by Tracey Oliver, who also wrote the hilarious film Girls Trip.
Jill is set to play Hazel, “a music superstar who has been silenced by her unfaithful husband and manager for years” and Michelle will play Bree, "a doctor and overwhelmed mother whose husband cheats on her."
The third First Wife has not yet been announced.
Jill is most memorable for her role in Why Did I Get Married? and Michelle has appeared in Broad City and Key & Peele.
The First Wives Club reboot doesn't have a premiere date yet, but we are so ready for a new rendition of 'You Don't Own Me'...
