No, Chandler!

'Friends' Actor Matthew Perry Has Been Rushed To Hospital NBC

Actor Matthew Perry has been rushed to hospital to undergo emergency surgery to repair a gastrointestinal perforation.

A representative for the actor told The Daily Mail that he was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles overnight and that "he is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals".

A gastrointestinal perforation is also known as a ruptured bowel and can occur along any point in the wall of the gastrointestinal tract including the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine.

Symptoms include severe abdominal pain and unusually requires emergency surgery.

Possible causes are wide-ranging, including trauma from a knife wound or eating a sharp object; a medical procedure such as a colonoscopy, cancers, ulcers or infections.

Matthew is one of the most recognised faces in entertainment after spending most of the 1990s and 2000s playing Chandler Bing on Friends.

We hope he's better soon.
